FAQs for MacBook Screen Replacement
There is a minor crack on the glass in my MacBook display. Do I need to replace the entire panel including metal back or just the glass alone?
Sorry, there is no way to replace the glass or display alone. For any fault with the display, the entire display assembly (aka clamshell) needs to be replaced.
The display on my MacBook is flickering, with lines & patterns appearing randomly. No physical damage. Do I need to replace the display?
Well, most often, yes, it is the display that is faulty and needs replacement. In some cases, these symptoms appear due to fault with some internal part - LVDS cable or Main Logic Board (MLB). We can confirm only after a proper diagnosis.
How much time & money will it cost me to replace my MacBook's display panel?
Time: 1 - 2 days. We typically stock spare parts for all MacBook models. It may take a little longer if your model's display is out of stock.
Cost: It could cost anywhere between 12000/- to 60000/- depending on which particular model of MacBook you own. Suggest you get in touch with us to get an exact quote.
Do I get a warranty with the replacement display?
Yes, ifixox provides a 1 year warranty on MacBook display replacement service.
Is the replacement MacBook display a genuine Apple product?
Apple doesn't sell any of its spare parts in the market, so we can't claim the replacement MacBook display to be "Apple Original" officially. However the display we use for replacement is premium quality and on par with the original. You also get a 1 year warranty with the service.
How do I find out my Macbook model & serial number?
Click on the Apple () icon on upper-left corner of your screen -> Click option "About This Mac".
The serial number can also be found on the bottom surface of most MacBooks.
